Terms of service

Plain-language terms for the Fiveday subscription. No traps, no notice periods, no lock-in.

1. Who you're working with

Fiveday is a one-person design and product studio operated by Lisa (fivedaydesign.com). All work is performed personally — there is no junior team, agency subcontractor or white-label partner. Questions about these terms go to lisa@fivedaydesign.com.

By subscribing, checking out, or submitting a project brief, you agree to these terms.

2. The subscription

The service is a month-to-month subscription billed at $5,000 USD per month through Stripe. Billing recurs automatically on the same date each month until you cancel.

You may add unlimited requests to your queue. One request is designed and built at a time, in the order you set. Requests do not expire while your subscription is active.

3. Delivery timelines

Websites and video: a full, functional deployment within five business days of an approved brief, tested end to end.

Key art, decks, logos, icons, avatars, social and other branded assets: same day, up to 72 hours.

Timelines start the business day after the kickoff briefing and after I have received the information, access and source material a request depends on. Delays in feedback, access or third-party approvals extend the timeline by the same amount.

4. Scope

In scope: websites, brand systems, decks (sales, marketing and event enablement), art direction, video, and social creative.

Not in scope: long-form copywriting, native mobile applications, paid media buying, ongoing community management, and legal, tax or accounting advice.

Domains, hosting beyond the delivered deployment, fonts, stock licences, plugins and other third-party services are billed to you directly by those providers.

5. Revisions

Revisions are unlimited within the intent of the original request. Send notes in one batch; turnaround is typically same day for assets and the next morning for product work.

A request that changes direction substantially — a different product, audience or brand premise — is treated as a new request in your queue rather than a revision.

6. Ownership and licences

On delivery, and provided your account is current, you own the delivered work outright: files, source, repositories and the hosting account created for you. Nothing is locked behind me.

Third-party components (fonts, stock, libraries, AI-generated elements and open-source packages) remain governed by their own licences, which pass through to you.

I may display delivered work in a portfolio or case study unless you ask me in writing not to.

7. Your responsibilities

You confirm that any material you supply — logos, copy, images, data, credentials — is yours to use, and that the work you commission is lawful.

You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for reviewing deliverables before they go live in front of your customers.

8. Pause, cancellation and refunds

You can pause or cancel at any time, in one click, from your billing portal. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not refund the current period beyond the guarantee below.

Seven-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy within seven days of your first payment, email lisa@fivedaydesign.com and you receive a full refund, no questions asked.

When you pause, unused days in the current cycle stay banked and can be used when you restart. There is no restart fee.

I may decline or end an engagement — with a pro-rated refund of unused time — for abusive conduct, unlawful requests, or work that falls outside the scope above.

9. Confidentiality

Anything you share that is not public — product plans, financials, unreleased brand work — is treated as confidential and is not shared with third parties except the service providers needed to deliver the work.

10. Warranties and liability

Work is delivered with reasonable professional skill and care. Beyond that, deliverables are provided as is, without warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any specific commercial result.

To the extent permitted by law, total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Material changes apply from your next billing cycle, and continuing your subscription after a change means you accept it.
